Because Christianity Is More Than Being a Spectator!
The church is not need-centered or people-centered but God-centered. - Henry Blackaby
Welcome to the Center for Church Transparency and the future of how church is done. The Center for Church Transparency is non-denominational and includes Christian pastors, ministers, scholars, and laity concerned with the numerical, spiritual, and cultural decline of contemporary churches. We seek to strengthen local churches by promoting the benefits of personal growth, church fiscal transparency, and congregational involvement in local church governance.
We believe that local church membership is vital to the spiritual well-being of every Christian and that healthy churches are good for society. Our goal is to help contemporary Christians rediscover the beauty, simplicity, and effectiveness found in the early churches that resulted from informed and engaged congregations which produced relevant churches that changed the world. Our vision is to lead the church transparency movement by inspiring congregations to be more effective by becoming more informed and engaged in their local churches. When members expect ethical, moral, and financial transparency in their local churches, the result is enhanced Christian growth, church staff accountability, and church fiscal responsibility. Our mission is accomplished when congregations realize their Christian duty includes stewardship of their local church.
The Center for Church Transparency does not solicit donations. This site is offered as a free resource to church members worldwide. We know there is an overwhelming amount of unsound and conflicting information on the Internet and in print. We simply seek to provide sound, Bible-based transparency answers and strategies by consolidating relevant information and resources at one location for easy reference. Topics include how to recognize church opacity (non-transparency), how to implement basic church transparency, news articles involving churches and ministries, resource links and books, and much more. We also invite you to get involved by championing transparency in your local church. Because Christianity is more than being a spectator!
